Correction to page 19 of the National Directory for the Ministry, Formation and Life of Permanent Deacons in Canada

A correction has been made to the text in no. 9 regarding the “Threefold mission of service” on page 19 of the National Directory for the Ministry, Formation and Life of Permanent Deacons in Canada, issued by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops in August 2017. The corrected page is available on the product webpage which is posted on the website of CCCB Publications.
The Directory provides guidance in the formation, ministry, and life of permanent deacons in Canada as well as basic standards for the coordination and updating of diaconate programs and policies at the local level. Prescriptive in Canada since 10 August 2017 (the Feast of Saint Lawrence, deacon and martyr) for Latin Rite dioceses and those responsible for permanent diaconate programs in the Latin Church, the Directory is also a necessary resource for all permanent deacons ordained in the Latin Rite and those Latin Rite clerical institutes of consecrated life which have permanent deacons.
