English Sector Commission for Liturgy and the Sacraments Releases Resource for the Use of Technology in the Liturgy
Friday, October 2, 2020The English Sector Commission for Liturgy and the Sacraments, with the authorization of the Executive Committee of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB), has released a new resource entitled Considerations for the Use of Technology in the Liturgy. An initiative of the National Council for Liturgy and the Sacraments, the project was coordinated and developed by the CCCB’s English Sector National Liturgy Office in consultation with Canadian dioceses, parishes and regional liturgical conferences, as well as with international organizations with professional experience and expertise in the use of digital media during liturgical celebrations.
The resource is intended to assist Bishops of English Sector dioceses when providing advice on the use of technology (e.g. overhead and slide projections) when celebrating the liturgy. The document can be freely downloaded for non-commercial use by dioceses, parishes and Church organizations. For any other usage, please contact CCCB Publications at permissions@cccb.ca.
For questions about the document, please contact the National Liturgy Office by email at nlo@cccb.ca.
