Episcopal ordination of Auxiliary Bishop Gregory Bittman of Edmonton

The episcopal ordination of the Auxiliary Bishop of Edmonton, the Most Reverend Gregory Bittman, will take place at St. Joseph’s Basilica in Edmonton, September 3, 2012.  The Most Reverend Richard Smith, Archbishop of Edmonton and President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, will preside, assisted by the Apostolic Nuncio to Canada, the Most Reverend Pedro López Quintana, His Eminence Thomas Cardinal Collins, Archbishop of Toronto, and the Most Reverend Joseph MacNeil, Archbishop Emeritus of Edmonton.  The ordination will be broadcast live on the Web, beginning at 6:45 p.m. (Mountain Time).
