Installation of the new Archbishop of St. John’s

The Most Reverend Peter Joseph Hundt will be installed as the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of St. John’s at the Basilica-Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, St. John’s, on 29 January 2019 at 7:00 p.m. The Most Reverend Luigi Bonazzi, Apostolic Nuncio to Canada will preside the installation. A number Archbishops and Bishops from across Canada will be present. When appointed Archbishop of St. John’s by the Holy Father on 12 December 2018, Archbishop Hundt was the Bishop of the Diocese of Corner Brook and Labrador. The Most Reverend Martin William Currie served as Archbishop of St. John’s for the past eleven years.
