Installation of the new Bishop of Nelson

bittmanThe Most Reverend Gregory Bittman will be installed as Bishop of the Diocese of Nelson at the Immaculate Conception Church, Kelowna, on 25 April 2018 at 7:00 p.m. The Most Reverend Michael J. Miller, C.S.B., Archbishop of Vancouver, will preside. The Most Reverend Richard Gagnon, Archbishop of Winnipeg and Vice President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) will be present on behalf of the President of the CCCB, together with a number of other Bishops from across Canada as well as the Most Reverend Luigi Bonazzi, Apostolic Nuncio to Canada. When appointed Bishop of Nelson by the Holy Father on 13 February 2018, Bishop Bittman was then Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Edmonton. The Most Reverend John Corriveau, O.F.M.Cap., was Bishop of the Diocese of Nelson for the past ten years. Bishop Bittman’s installation will be live-streamed on the Nelson Diocesan Website.
