Meeting of the Bishops of the Church in the Americas

This year’s Meeting of the Bishops of the Church in the Americas was held in Tampa, Florida, from 14 to 17 February.

This meeting brought together the Executive Committees of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB), the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), and the Latin American and Caribbean Episcopal Council (CELAM).

One of the fruits of this year’s gathering is the joint message by the participating Bishops titled Message to the People of God on Pilgrimage in the Americas.

“We are one Church in the Americas. From this unity, we wish to serve with greater dedication, to accompany with greater closeness, and to proclaim with renewed courage the hope that springs from the Heart of the Savior” – excerpt from the Message to the People of God on Pilgrimage in the Americas.
