Online catechesis and other resources in view of 2018 World Meeting of Families
Thursday, February 15, 2018The Dicastery for Laity, the Family and Life has announced that a digital series of seven catecheses on the family is freely available on its website and its YouTube channel, PcFamiglia. The materials, which are in preparation for the upcoming World Meeting of Families (WMF) in Dublin, Ireland, 21-26 August 2018, are available in five languages, including English and French. As well, the WMF website is also offering a number of resources, including the “Amoris Programme” which involves six sessions of parish conversations for reflecting on and sharing experiences of family life. Although this programme is described in various languages, including English and French, the resource itself is currently available in English only.
The official delegation of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) to the 2018 WMF will be the President, the Most Reverend Lionel Gendron, P.S.S., Bishop of Saint-Jean-Longueuil; the Vice President, the Most Reverend Richard Gagnon, Archbishop of Winnipeg; and Dr. Michel MacDonald, Executive Director of the Catholic Organization for Life and Family.
