CCCB President's message to Canadian State Councils of the Knights of Columbus
The Most Reverend Paul-André Durocher, Archbishop of Gatineau and President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, has sent greetings to the Canadian Association of the Knights of Columbus and to the Canadian State Councils for their upcoming meetings. In his message, Archbishop Durocher recalls how “the Knights of Columbus provide a vital service not only to the Church but to all society.” During the Year of Consecrated Life, he invites each parish council of the Knights “to renew your collaboration and support for the witness and work of those in consecrated life; to express your thanks and appreciation for their heroic service and generous charity; and to support new vocations to the consecrated life, so our Church and our society may continue to be blessed and strengthened by their presence among us.” The message to the State Councils is being circulated by Mr. Edward Shawchuk, President of the Canadian Association of the Knights of Columbus.
