CCCB President writes to Coptic Orthodox Bishop Anba Mina concerning recent bombing in Cairo

The Most Reverend Douglas Crosby, O.M.I., Bishop of Hamilton and President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB), has sent a letter conveying condolences and prayers to His Grace Anba Mina, Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Mississauga, Vancouver and Western Canada concerning the recent bombing at the church of St. Peter on the grounds of St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo, Egypt, on Sunday December 11, 2016.

Immediately following his Angelus message on Sunday, December 11, 2016, Pope Francis prayed for the victims of the bombing of the Coptic Orthodox Church and for the victims of the two bomb attacks in Istanbul, while also appealing to the world not to ignore the plight of the people in the Syrian city of Aleppo.
