CCCB President writes to the President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops following Hurricane Harvey
Your Eminence,
Everyone in Canada has been following with great concern the news reports of the devastating flooding and destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey to the City of Houston and your Archdiocese, as well as throughout Southeast Texas and parts of Louisiana.
Please be assured of the fraternal concern and prayers of the Bishops in our country for all the victims of this natural disaster, for the emergency response personnel, and for those working to help those affected so they may soon recover and resume their normal lives. Our hearts and prayers are especially with those whose lives have been lost and with their families and loved ones.
May Our Lord bring comfort and healing to all.
Fraternally in Christ,
(Most Rev.) Douglas Crosby, OMI
Bishop of Hamilton
President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops
